Dear Parents,
Science is off to a great start! Third and fourth graders are learning about the metric system using a variety of tools. Fifth graders are learning about the various systems in the body.
Some important dates for the future:
Our annual science fair will take place in March. It is mandatory for all students in grades two, three, four, and five to participate. Kindergartners and first graders are encouraged to participate. All work will be displayed in the gym. Parents will be invited to view the science fair during Parent/Teacher conferences in the spring. I look forward to an amazing week. Details will be sent home in January. Please look for this important information.
The written portion of the NYS ELSE exam for fourth graders is scheduled for April 30, 2009. The dates for the hands on portion has not yet been scheduled. Further information will be given as it becomes available.
