CHESS CLUB NEWS!

Congratulations to Alex for winning 2 rounds at his first tournament on December 12 at PS 150 in Sunnyside.  The Chess team enjoyed lunch at Burger King.

Ms. Contona accompanied our Chess club to a tournament on Veteran's Day, November 11th at the Frederick Douglas Academy in Harlem.  Congratulations to:

~Prince for winning 4 matches and bringing home a trophy

~ Nirmaljit for winning 3 matches and bringing home a medal.

~Abhishek for winning 2 matches

~ Sanbir and Abir for winning one match at their first tournament!

We attended our first tournament on Saturday, October 24 at IS 318 in Brooklyn. We finally got there after a long and confusing train ride!  We were late, so we were not allowed to play in the first round. Congratulations to Abhishek and Nirmaljit for one win each!  It was Ahbishek's first tournament. Thank you to our coach Mr. Fonseca.
