            Students evaluate the validity and accuracy of information, ideas, themes, opinions, and experiences in texts: for example:

            • questions the writer's assumptions, beliefs, intentions, and biases
            • evaluate examples, details, or reasons used to support ideas
            • identify fallacies of logic that lead to unsupported conclusions

            Students judge a text by using evaluative criteria from a variety of perspectives, such as literary, political, and personal.
