COGNITIVE

1: The student will continue to develop an understanding of simple and compound duple
and triple meter.

2: The student will continue to develop an
understanding of  rhythmic concepts
and notation


3: The student will continue to demonstrate
an understanding of pitch and pitch notation
through an extended range on his/her
instrument (WINDS)

3: The student will continue to experience and
perform snare drum rudimental sticking patterns
as defined by the Percussive Arts Society
International (PERCUSSION)


4: The student will develop a working
understanding of musical terms as encountered
in performance pieces

5: The student will develop a working understanding
of musical symbols as encountered in
